ARREST Agenda Message
H. E. Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr.
President of Liberia
This is a defining moment for our nation. The ARREST Agenda represents a comprehensive strategy to address critical challenges such as food insecurity, inadequate access to essential services, governance issues, and economic stagnation.
Together, we will transform Liberia into a nation that offers hope, prosperity, and equality for all.
The ARREST Agenda focuses on six key development drivers:
Agribusiness, which boosts food security and creates sustainable jobs;
Roads and Infrastructure, enhancing connectivity and economic access;
Rule of Law and Governance, strengthening institutional trust and
combating corruption;
Education and Human Capital Development, empowering Liberians,
especially our youth, with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed;
Sanitation, ensuring access to clean water and improving public health;
and Tourism, leveraging Liberia’s natural beauty and cultural heritage to diversify our economy.
Liberia’s development is a collective responsibility. The success of the ARREST Agenda depends on how well we work together, use our limited resources effectively, and remain accountable to our citizens.
To our young people, you are the enablers of change. We are committed to equipping you with the tools to lead our country into a brighter future.
Let us dare to THINK LIBERIA, LOVE LIBERIA, AND BUILD LIBERIA!
Message from our Commissioner General Ambassador Queen Juli Endee The Commissioner General of Liberia, Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan
At the end of Liberia’s participation at Expo2025 Osaka, Japan, I want Liberia to present itself through a rebranded lens of purpose, empowerment, image, opportunities, trade, unity and peace, aiming to achieve financial success, foster international partnerships, promote its rich culture heritage, tourism, investment and business potential.
Brief About Liberia Pavilion at Expo:
Liberia’s pavilion at Expo2025 Osaka will embody the theme “Saving Lives,” centered on the exhibition title “Creativity, Innovation, Investment, and Gender Equality.” As a rebranding gateway, the pavilion will showcase Liberia’s strides in Sustainable Development GOALS and highlight its abundant natural resources and investment opportunities.
Unlocking Liberia’s Potential: Opportunities for Growth
Liberia, known as the “Land of Liberty,” is full of potential. With its rich cultural heritage, natural resources, and hard-working people, Liberia is ready to welcome investors, partners, and businesses to build a brighter future.
Tourism Liberia’s tourism strategy aligns with modern trends, such as sustainable tourism, cultural heritage tourism, adventure tourism, and wellness tourism. Imagine relaxing on Liberia’s untouched beaches, exploring its dense rainforests, or discovering its historic landmarks like Providence Island. Liberia’s natural beauty and history make it a perfect destination for tourism investment.
Trade Liberia’s location on the West African coast makes it a gateway for regional and international trade. From exporting rubber, timber, cocoa, coffee to improving shipping infrastructure like the Freeport of Monrovia, Liberia is open for business and trade partnership.
Arts & Crafts Liberia’s handwoven textiles, wooden carvings, and colorful beadwork tell stories of resilience and creativity. Supporting local artisans or exporting their crafts can connect Liberia to global markets while empowering communities. Imagine the world falling in love with “Made in Liberia” products!
Culture Vibrant festivals, music, and traditional dances are unmatched. Cultural events and exchange programs can attract global attention, promote unity, and create business opportunities in entertainment and hospitality. By celebrating Liberia’s heritage, we showcase what makes us unique.
Mining Liberia is rich in resources like gold, iron ore, and diamonds. With fair and sustainable mining practices, these resources can create jobs and fuel the economy. Ethical partnerships ensure that Liberia benefits while protecting its environment and communities.
Agriculture Liberia’s fertile land is perfect for farming rice, cassava, cocoa, and coffee. Modern farming methods and investments in agribusiness can boost local food production and create export opportunities. Agriculture isn’t just about feeding people; it’s about building an economy from the ground up.
Education Liberia’s young population is its greatest asset. Building better schools, training teachers, and investing in technology can prepare the next generation for success. Vocational training programs can give youth the skills they need to thrive in agriculture, technology, and more.
Health Everyone deserves access to quality healthcare. By investing in clinics, hospitals, and telemedicine, Liberia can tackle health challenges and improve the lives of its people. Public-private partnerships can make healthcare more accessible and affordable for everyone.
Sanitation & Gender Equality Clean water and sanitation are the foundation of good health. Supporting projects that improve sanitation will create healthier communities. At the same time, promoting gender equality by empowering women and girls ensures that no one is left behind. When everyone has a fair chance, the whole country moves forward.
Liberia is a land of opportunity, ready to grow and thrive with the right partnerships. By working together in these key areas, we can build a stronger, more prosperous Liberia for generations to come.
